Workshop Session 1
Carole Small is a Chartered Architect and has made the transition from Sole Trader to Employer and VAT registered business.
If you are thinking of expanding your business but the thought seems daunting then this is the workshop for you to find out that its not all bad! Carole will talk about the highs and lows and give you tips on what you shouldn’t avoid.
The Moray Business Women Awards will be launched and open for entries at the conference. Women make a phenomenal difference in the business and professional world, and we want to help you be proud of it. Using a new set of Strategy Cards designed by last year’s ‘Most Enterprising Business’ winner, the workshop intends to seek out the positives about what you do and the difference you make. By making industry awards part of your personal development, PR or growth strategy, this truly unique and interactive workshop will highlight why you should enter, what to say, and help you recognise the things you need to shout about in your application process.
Sarah Frame-O’Hare started her professional career in 2002 as a qualified optometrist and has run her own businesses for the last 11 years.
Using her experience from the high street health and retail sector she discovered that often no matter what the business issue is, from finding customers, marketing, reducing costs, improving profits and any other aspect affecting business growth, the best ideas are often held within the people doing the day to day work themselves. Yet, the reality is that it can be difficult to ask for and get this input from employees and colleagues.
Sarah set up Strategy Cards Limited in November 2016 which innovatively combine card game based tools with over 30 professional topics, covering business planning, digital marketing, GDPR, ISO standards, mentoring, HR and more. These are designed for managers, trainers, consultants to quickly, and creatively use for strategy planning and to spark discussion and action in team meetings and workshops.
Using Strategy Cards, Sarah, Most Enterprising Business Award Winner 2017, will help you to realise your potential and help you to overcome writers block when it comes to writing everything that is great about you and your business.

Having trained with famous self-help guru, Louise L Hay in 1990, Jane’s positive attitude to life was severely challenged when her husband and business partner contracted cancer and then died in 2011.
This was something that could not be fixed by thinking positively, or even taking positive actions. Join this interactive workshop to be inspired as to how Jane got through this time, both personally and professionally, and how it resulted in her founding social enterprise Before I Go Solutions. Discover how she was able to look back and be grateful for both her husband’s life AND death, and the part attitude and trust played, and still plays, as she finds herself running a completely different business.
Join us for inspirational stories and workshops and we host our annual conference. You can book your ticket by following this link www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/believe-achieve-mbw
