McClintock Home Eyecare
I started my studies in 1984 and since then I qualified as a dispensing optician. At the age of 25, I went back to University and qualified as an Optometrist. Besides enjoying my job, it has also taken me to different parts of the world working as a volunteer as part of a Bristish charity called Vision Aid Overseas and that’s where one of my passion lies. One of the countries I worked in for twelve years was Burkina Faso in Western Africa. I did this while working in the UK and travelling there managing the project as well as working on the field. I also love travelling, experiencing and enjoying food from different corners of the world, hence I enjoy cooking.
I am a mum to an 8 year old daughter. My profession allows me to fully enjoy bringing her up because I can work around her school hours, therefore allowing me to balance my career and my family life, something I appreciate and don’t take for granted. I also enjoy languages and am currently learning Spanish. I am an Optometrist and have my own businesses running a domiciliary service.
The service I provide are eye examinations in patients own home or care home, this is carried out under the NHS ( providing my patients are housebound) or private eye examination. The service also includes dispensing spectacles when required.
