Heather Glen Guest House
I have lived in Moray all my life and attended Elgin Academy then Moray College. I originally trained as a hairdresser and beautician and went on to teach at the college as well as run my own mobile business for several years. In 2005 myself and my husband Rick decided to buy The Heather Glen Guest House as it fitted round family life and allowed Rick to leave the RAF and not have to leave the area to find work. Now that our children are away from home it gives us more time to travel and socialise and I also like to walk my dogs every day and do some painting when I have time. Myself and my husband have run the Heather Glen Guest House since 2005 and since then have upgraded the property throughout and installed a biomass boiler. We always seem to be busy and have many regular customers. We have 2 single rooms, 1 double and 3 double/twin/family rooms and can accommodate up to 13 guests per night. As we are the most centrally located accommodation in Elgin, we offer a great location within easy walk of all the main attractions in Elgin. In 2008 we also took over the running of Trident Engraving and 3 years later moved it to new premises at 80 South Street only a few minutes walk from the Guest House. We offer all types of engraving on lots of different surfaces including metal, glass and wood.
